The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office has open positions for two Deputy Sheriff/Jailer Positions.  Starting salary is $34,992.32 per year along with other competitive fringe benefits.

You must be POST certified at time of appointment to the position or be nearing completion of an approved academy.  Applications may be obtained at the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office located at 240 North Main or at the Lawrence County Jail at:

If not POST certified, the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office may provide financial assistance with a law enforcement academy if certain conditions are met.  You may contact Lt. Doug Bounous regarding the qualifications.
