Heros
Hero's. We hear this word all of the time. People are hero's for helping someone in need, there are superheros like Batman, Superman, Wonder woman, and the like. People are hero's for shoving someone out of the way from imminent harm.
Police Officers, Firefighters, Paramedics, EMTs are hero's for there selfless everyday actions. Many times they go above and beyond what fictional superheros do and never receive any thanks or recognition. They don't go into those professions expecting thanks, high pay, great hours or anything of the like. They do it because they love it and they want to help.
This Monday we will celebrate and honor another set of hero's, no, superheros, no, super superheros. The men and women of our armed forces. Veteran's day is set aside to honor those who are sacrificing and have sacrificed to make sure we are safe. To make sure we still live in a free country. The greatest country in the world. Yes we have problems but I would still rather be here than anywhere else.
If you see a veteran or active member of our military, thank them, not just on Veteran's Day but everyday. They don't do it for the recognition either. Pray for them and their families who are also sacrificing. Here at Lawrence County we are proud to have several super superheros who are continuing their service by serving the citizens of this county. Many of them are still actively serving their country while serving you here. They deserve our thanks. May God continue to bless them and protect them.
