Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Updates Text Alert System

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office has upgraded its text message alert notification feature as of July 13, 2016. Since July 13, 2016, the upgraded text alert system will use either a new five-digit short code (96167) or the ten-digit telephone number used previously (470-219-3777).

With this short code upgrade, the layout of information in the text alert may also change. Each message from the short code (96167) will have a Subject line (i.e. New Most Wanted, New Sex Offender, etc.) and a From address of Lawrence County Sheriff MO.

To sign up for alert notifications from our office, to change your current subscription, or to unsubscribe from our alerts, please go to our Sign Up for Alerts page: http://lawrencecosheriff.com/alerts_signup.php

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office will be glad to hear any feedback from the community on this text alert upgrade. To provide feedback, please let us know through our Contact Us form http://lawrencecosheriff.com/contact.php.

As always, we wish to thank the public for their continued support of law enforcement. We also believe the unique partnership we have between the public and law enforcement enhances the security and quality of life we all enjoy.
