Deputies Seize 875 Marijuana Plants in Farm Field

On Monday June 10, 2013, Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputies along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a citizen’s call regarding finding several plants thought to be marijuana growing on their property.  Officers canvassed the caller’s property at their request and located 875 plants growing in two separate plots. The Lawrence County Deputies seized the found marijuana plants. The estimated street value of these plants is approximately $2.2 million.

The plants were located just north of Mt. Vernon.

Investigation continues into the individual(s) that maybe involved.
