Deputy Dennis Spence returned home on Thursday March 10, 2011 after nearly a one and one half year deployment overseas with the 414th Military Police Company.  Deputy Spence is a full time road deputy with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office and was called up to active duty to serve his country.  His Company was escorted into Joplin during the early morning hours for their dismissal from duty and were joined by friends and family.

Dennis will be returning to work full time with the Sheriff's Office within the next few weeks.  On behalf of the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office, we want to welcome home Dennis and his Company and thank them for their service to our country.
